A special treat lure hearty delicacies to Emilia Romagna in the region of Emilia Romagna in the heart of Italy awaits the visitor in the autumn. For over 20 years, guests and residents celebrate the culinary delights of the region during the “Baccanale”. Like the travel portal reisen.de reported, the Festival takes place on three weekends between the 7th and 22nd November 2009. This year is in Emilia Romagna the topic ‘Miseria nobilta’ (poverty and nobility) on the program. Lovers of Italian cuisine dedicated to it in the secrets of a typical grassroots, on the other hand quite luscious cuisine of the Renaissance. In the context of the Baccanale, a colourful cultural programme, as well as the thematic menus in more than 60 local restaurants provide unique experiences.
The Speisenfolgen are tailored to the motto of the Festival and include both simple pasta dishes and hearty soups as also exquisite meat dishes of the former upper class. Rounding out the culinary journey (www.reisen.de/ travel/flat rate) by cooking classes, wine tastings or cooking shows. Under the guidance of professionals, regional typical dishes for cooking ring after cooking is easy to learn. The cooking classes take either two or four hours and cost between 15 and 100 euro per person. Often, restaurants offer additional wine tastings which also with at least 15 euro is expected. Interested parties are requested to register at the tourism office in Imola, near the capital city of Bologna.
